Free Tarot Readings

1. Tell us a bit about how your interest in Tarot and the spiritual world began.

One of the things I looked forward to most growing up was visiting my great grandmother’s house on a Sunday for a traditional roast lunch. After lunch, I would be given a cup of tea that I didn’t particularly care for, however if I drank it all, my grandfather would read my tea leaves. It was the start of my spiritual journey. My grandfather was pivotal in my spiritual learnings. When I was seventeen he gave me an old pack of cartomancy cards (similar to Tarot, but based on a standard deck of cards). As he gave me the cards he said to me, “when I was about your age an old gypsy woman gave me these cards and said, I was to keep them and give them to someone who would share them with more people than he could imagine.” These cards went on to become the cornerstone of my site, NewAgeStore.com.

2. What makes the virtual readings offered on NewAgeStore.com unique?  

When I created this site, I did it with the intent to provide the very best readings on the planet and make them free. My desire to provide an exceptional service, coupled with my passion for IT, continues to give me a continued competitive advantage over companies that are simply about the numbers. I never set out to make this business “just simply work”, but to provide an exceptional reading - one as good as seeing a Tarot reader in person.

3. Why did you decide to go on Shark Tank?

“Two of my favourite quotes are, "what you don’t know, you don’t go looking for” and “what is it you believe to be true that is not”. By going on Shark Tank, I knew either way, I would gain some incredible wisdom; learn from amazing business leaders and challenge a belief that up until that stage I believed to be true. All of these things happened. Actually there was one other reason… Whilst perhaps not foremost in mind, going on television scared me - actually it terrified me and it would be very, very unauthentic to spend my days telling others that life (and magic) happens outside of your comfort zone if I stayed in mine.”

4. What’s been the most valuable lesson you’ve learnt from having your own business?

I’ve learnt that achieving long term goals are far more important than short term ‘insta-wins’ and email databases shouldn’t be purged to free up disk space!

5. What do you think is the secret behind your growing success?

Passion, love and tenacity. Also, not asking others for advice! I guarantee had I asked my family and friends if I should create a ‘spiritual’ website, their reply would have been a resounding ‘you’re crazy’. It’s important to trust in your inner voice, listen to your soul, and if it feels right and spreads a little bit of love, hope or joy, then you don’t need validation. Our souls already know the answer and self sabotage can be a mighty adversary.
