The Peninsula Hot Springs is located in the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, approximately 90 minutes south of Melbourne CBD.
While the Peninsula Hot Springs may seem like a world away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne, it’s only an easy 90 minute drive. For those travelling by car, you can follow the coastline via Frankston for a scenic journey or take the M1 and join the Eastlink tollway for a speedier trip. Unfortunately public transport options are limited. If travelling to the Peninsula Hot Springs from Melbourne, board a Frankston line train to Frankston then take the no. 788 bus to Rye. From here you can call a taxi or Uber. For the most scenic option of all, choose to catch the ferry from Sorrento Pier or Queenscliff Harbour, departing every hour on the hour from 7am until 6pm, all year round. Another alternative is organising your own private transfer.
The Peninsula Hot Springs has three separate bathing areas: the Bath House, Spa Dreaming Centre and private bathing. Entry to the Bath House includes access to thermal mineral pools, wet and dry saunas, cold plunge pools, reflexology walk, Turkish hamam, family bathing area, hydrojet pool, hydrotherapy pool, hilltop pool and more. Entry to the Spa Dreaming Centre includes access to thermal mineral pools, barrel baths, cold plunge pools, saunas, Moroccan Hammam and more. Towel, robe and locker hire is included. The Peninsula Hot Springs prices depend on the package chosen and number of participants. Often our packages include entry to the hot springs and general bathing area, and additional services like private bath or a massage.
Swimwear is essential at the Peninsula Hot Springs, except in the private bathing pools. It is also recommended to wear appropriate footwear around the pools and any wet areas to reduce the risk of slipping. Bring along a bottle of water to stay hydrated during your visit. There are ample water taps around the venue to fill them up. Towels and robes are provided for all guests in the Spa Dreaming Centre. If you are only visiting the Bath House, you can hire them at an additional cost or bring your own. Sunscreen and a rash shirt is suggested if you are enjoying the outdoor pools or picnic areas. It is recommended to keep any valuables such as jewellery at home or you can hire a secure locker.
