Enjoy a traditional cultural experience from Cairns with guidance from the local indigenous tribe. This tour is filled with indigenous cultural education, traditional spear fishing (optional) and seafood catch tasting. The river cruise showcases crocodiles, native birds & wildlife in their habitat.
This full-day tour starts with a cultural beach walking tour, guided by the local indigenous tribe. You’ll be introduced to the traditional fishing activity of spear throwing and handling. Whilst practising your aim, your walk will continue along the beach, then through the mangroves and mudflats where you can observe the cultural medicine and the array of sea life beneath the water and between the mangroves! To conclude this first part of the tour, enjoy some homemade damper on the beach and a taste test of any seafood caught that day.
Around midday, enjoy lunch at the famous local cafe, where you can pick from a range of delicious burgers and sandwiches. After lunch, your journey continues with a 30-minute drive north to the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest tropical rainforest in the world, where you’ll jump aboard a solar-powered zero-emission boat. Glide quietly up to crocodiles and other wildlife without scaring them or disturbing their habitat - this beautiful experience practices true Eco Tourism.
The tour start time and pick up time varies, as the tours are based on the tides coming in and out.
Pick Ups times: Cairns from 8am to 9am. Port Douglas 9am to 10am.
This tour requires 90 minutes of walking, which includes walking through mangroves and wading through water. Guests should have a low to medium level of fitness to enjoy this tour.
This experience runs with a minimum of 4 and maximum of 11 participants.
No spectators are allowed

Wear Shorts (no long pants) - as we are wading through the water. You will be walking barefoot on the beach and through the water and mud /d mangroves, please bring beach shoes if you are not comfortable walking bare foot.
