This fun and engaging outdoor tour provides an active and alternative way to get to the beach from the city. It is also a great way to explore some of Adelaide’s best must do’s with plenty of picture stops and surprises along the way.
Starting from the heart of the City, cycle to the bustling Riverbank Precinct, home to significant and historic buildings, sports events and public spaces including the famous Adelaide Oval.
Then, enjoy the peace and tranquility of the river and appreciate the serenity of nature in this continually changing landscape. You may even spot a horse or two feeding by the river. As the river trail comes to an end, start to feel the ocean breeze and soon be amazed by the breathtaking coastal views.
Stop for some morning tea at a local cafe and enjoy the ocean views. Perhaps some cake and coffee to re-energise before hopping back on your bike and heading on to Glenelg.
Heading south along the dedicated cycle path, take in the expansive views along the coastline toward the Fleurieu Peninsula to Glenelg. The popular cosmopolitan town of Glenelg is ideal for swimming, dining and entertainment. Take the time to walk along the sandy white shores and feel the sand between your toes or have a swim in the calm blue sea while soaking up some sunshine before catching the iconic Glenelg tram back to the City.

Should the weather be deemed unsafe to operate by management, our office will contact you via email or SMS as soon as possible to reschedule your booking. If you do not receive a notification from us prior to your session, you may safely assume that your experience will be going ahead. Unfortunately, there may be some instances where bursts of extreme weather are not as forecast, which may result in the session being cancelled upon arrival.
Please dress appropriately for cycling. It is recommended to wear enclosed toe footwear, bring sunscreen, hat and sunglasses along with a small lightweight backpack to carry personal items. And importantly, don’t forget your camera!
