Take in the remoteness and all the colours of the Australian Outback at sunrise during this half hour hot air balloon flight. As you float through the sky, admire the expansive MacDonnell Ranges lit up by the rising sun and watch out for kangaroos, wallabies and birdlife in their natural habitats.
On the morning of your balloon flight, you will rise before first light and make your way to the meeting point, where you'll meet the crew and sign the necessary paperwork. You'll then be transferred to the launch site where the balloon inflation will take place as the sun lights up the rugged MacDonnell Ranges. Feel free to get involved or simply stand back and watch your colourful balloon take shape. Once you've climbed into the basket, your pilot will ever so gently take off and begin to float through the sky, showcasing the remote Australian Outback splashed with the colours of sunrise. Keep watch for big red kangaroos, wallabies and birds going about their morning routines as you cross spinifex grasses, mulga scrub and cattle stations. After the flight, relax over a host of refreshments including individually-wrapped muffins, cheese, biscuits and fresh fruit accompanied by Australian sparkling wine and fresh juice.
Women who are over 12 weeks pregnant cannot fly. Pregnancy must be advised in advance.
This voucher is valid for one person. Minimum of three and a maximum of 24 people in the basket on the day.
For those in the group that would like to come and watch their friends/family take a hot air balloon flight. They travel with the crew to where the balloon lands and meet up with the rest of their party to enjoy the light refreshments. Must be booked in conjunction with at least 1 adult balloon flight. Request basis only as limited space available on each tour.
This experience is weather dependant.
Long pants, sturdy shoes and sunscreen. A light jacket is recommended from April to October and during mid-winter, very warm clothes may be necessary. A hat may be worn as the heat from the burners can be intense. Loose items such as dangling jewellery and scarves are not permitted once passengers reach the launch site and dis-embark from the bus.
