Unique in it's history, its wildlife and world famous scenery there is an abundance to see and do outdoors in the Blue Mountains. There are 23 stops along the bus route covering Katoomba and Leura, sections of the Blue Mountains National Park. Blue Mountains Explorer Bus picks up every hour to take you to all of the best lookouts, bush walks, and waterfalls allowing you to see the most of the Blue Mountains at your own pace. Enjoy the freedom and sit back, relax and soak up the unbeatable views from the top deck as you are entertained with insightful commentary on the area with fascinating local facts and stories. Along the way, the bus will drop you at the spectacular Scenic World and pick you up again to continue your day.
The Skyway: Suspended 270 metres above ancient ravines, the Skyway provides a unique thrill as breathtaking views are revealed beneath your feet through the glass floor. With 360° views, the 720 metre journey provides sensational views of Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters, and Jamison Valley.
The Cableway: Discover panoramic views. The 545 metre journey gently descends into the Jamison Valley. The Cableway’s fully enclosed cabin provides a unique vantage point for viewing the Three Sisters, Orphan Rock, Mt Solitary and Katoomba Falls.
The Scenic Railway: Discover the thrill of a 52 degree incline riding the steepest passenger railway in the world. The Railway experience descends 310 metres through a cliff-side tunnel, emerging into ancient rainforest at the Jamison Valley floor.
Each bus can accomodate up to 77 passengers.
Comfortable clothes for bushwalking are recommended.
