There is no better way to watch Brisbane come to life than from the top of the Story Bridge. This two hour adventure will see you climb the iconic bridge and see the sun rise over Moreton Bay. What a fabulous way to see in a new day!
Based at Kangaroo Point, Story Bridge Adventure Climb (SBAC) is one of only three such experiences in the world and is a ‘must do’ on a visit to Brisbane. The exhilarating journey leads to an 80 metre summit, where climbers enjoy spectacular 360° views of Brisbane and its surrounds.
The picturesque Glasshouse Mountains are visible to the north, with the world-heritage listed Lamington National Park to the south. To the east, climbers enjoy views of Moreton Bay Islands, and to the west, Mt Coot-tha and the lush Brisbane Forest Park can be seen. The Climb Over Brisbane's Story Bridge is an idyllic way to view Brisbane, whatever the occasion. Watch Brisbane come to life on a dawn climb! Climbs are led by an experienced climb leader who provides fascinating commentary about the history and heritage of both the bridge and city surrounding them. The climb takes approximately two hours to complete, which includes a safety briefing, climb simulator, suiting up and of course, the climb itself. Please note you will be given a blood alcohol test for safety reasons, so no pre-drinks!
PLEASE NOTE: 1 x Group photo is included in the cost of the ticket. This photo is emailed to the customer (or the person that made the customer’s booking) within 48 hours of their climb. Individual photos are available for purchase after the climb.
Requests to change a booking (subject to SBAC management approval) may only be made to the time or date of a Climb but not to the number or identity of Climbers. Administration fees apply as follows:
You will be climbing with a group of up to 12 climbers and each group is under the control of an experienced climb leader who will provide commentary along the way.
Climbs go ahead in all weather conditions, except lightening, hailstorms and severe winds. If your experience is cancelled due to weather you will be rescheduled by the experience provider directly.
Climb suit is provided.
