Your day will start off leisurely, with hotel pick-ups from over 20 locations around the greater Hobart region. You will be driven to Kettering by our local Bruny Island guides and specialists, here you hop onto the ferry and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you head towards Bruny Island. You'll begin the day on Bruny Island tasting local artisan cheese, oysters and bread with a picnic on the beach. Then it's a scenic drive through the rainforest and mountains to Cape Bruny Lighthouse for an exclusive tour, only available with Bruny Island Safaris. Here you will climb the iron, spiral staircase and hear tales of convicts, shipwrecks and bask in stunning ocean vistas. You will relax with a hearty lunch featuring fresh, local produce. Choose from an extensive menu of locally caught fish, local lamb, salmon, seafood chowder or the popular seafood platter.
You will visit South Bruny Island National Park where you'll be astounded by the spectacular views. Look out for wildlife including whales, white wallabies, birds, echidnas and more that call this area their home. Go on a tour of the Cape Bruny Lighthouse and learn about the history of this nearly 200 year old, convict built building, taking in sea views from its balcony. Your afternoon will be full of more local delights, including yummy chocolate and fudge! With stops at the famous Bruny Island Baker Bread Fridge and the Honey Pot for a range of tastings and time to browse their gift shop.
