Step into a natural paradise as you spend a full day exploring Cape Tribulation. Visit Mossman Gorge and participate in a Welcome to Country ceremony with the traditional owners, embark on a rainforest walk and cruise down the Daintree River to spot crocodiles basking on the banks.
A place where two natural World Heritage-listed sites exist side-by-side, Cape Tribulation Region is truly wonder-filled and unreal to explore. Your adventure begins with a scenic coastal drive from Cairns to Port Douglas, where you'll be rewarded with sweeping panoramas of the Coral Sea. The first stop of the day is Mossman Gorge, home to crystal clear waters, large granite boulders and lush green rainforest.
You will participate in a Welcome to Country with the traditional owners, the Kuku Yalanji people, who will cleanse you of bad spirits with a smoke ceremony and apply traditional rainforest body paint on you. Feel free to go for a refreshing dip in the clear cascading waters. Next, it’s time to explore this ancient rainforest environment on an interesting, guided tour of the Mossman Gorge. Our highly trained guides will give expert rainforest interpretation, which will inform and impress. Continue Daintree for lunch, before the Daintree River Wildlife Cruise. You'll then head to an ice-cream shop which has 26 flavours of locally made ice-cream for a sweet mid-afternoon treat. Enjoy a photo opportunity at the Alexandra Range Lookout (Subject to road conditions), offering gorgeous views of the Daintree River. The return journey to Cairns includes a quick drive through Port Douglas.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. No charge applies for Children under 2 years old. They must be seated on the parents lap during the bus transfer and no meal is provided.
Pack a small day bag with your swimming costume and towel, camera, walking shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen, money for drinks and snacks.
