Enjoy a fabulous and mindful evening of clay with Glaze Galleria in Drummoyne. Guided by an experienced instructor, you'll learn wheel-throwing pottery and create something unique as you sip some wine! Create two unique ceramic pieces which will be fired and glazed for you to take home later on.

Spend an evening immersing yourself in creativity with this 2-hour clay and sip class at Glaze Galleria in the Inner West of Sydney. Bring some wine and snacks with you if you like, and settle into this cosy ceramic studio for a guided clay throwing class. With a maximum of eight students in each class, you will have all the attention you need from the friendly teachers, who will show you step by step how to throw on the pottery wheel. Create as many pieces as you want and choose which you’d like to keep. The team at Glaze Galleria will then fire, trim and glaze your ceramics (in your choice of four colours) and let you know when they're ready to be picked up (usually in about 3-4 weeks). This is the perfect evening to share with your friends, family or colleagues, where you can all dive into a creative and mindful activity together.

Session Length

  • The class has a duration of 2 hours
  • Available Fridays 6pm - 8pm
  • Available Saturdays 5pm - 7pm
  • Students will be notified by email when the pieces are ready for collection - usually 3-4 weeks later
  • Other times availble for groups of 6 to 8 participants

Guidelines

  • Beginners are welcome - no experience needed
  • Please note, it is BYO wine. Guests are also welcome to bring other drinks or snacks along
  • Guests must bring their own apron (or purchase one for $14) and old bath towel
  • There is a minimum of 4 students needed for the class to proceed
  • After pick up, pieces will be food, microwave, oven & dishwasher safe

Cancellation

  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start of your experience

Numbers on the Day

The minimum is 4 students; the maximum is 8 students.

Spectators

This is a small pottery studio so there isn't room for spectators for this class.

Weather

The class is not weather dependent.

Dress Code

Clay is messy. Please bring an apron & old bath towel and wear old clothes that you don't mind getting clay on. Closed shoes are recommended. Tie back long hair. There is a bathroom if you want to change.
