Cruise through a world lost in time and experience the hidden wonders of the ancient Daintree waterways as they wind their millennial paths through the World Heritage-listed tropical rainforests of Daintree. Look out for wildlife including saltwater crocodiles, birdlife, reptiles and butterflies.
Dense rainforest canopies and mountain views await the adventurous on this must-do Daintree River experience. With cruises departing six times daily from the Daintree Gateway, you will get up close to nature and enjoy the magnificent Wet Tropics World Heritage in comfort. An especially popular cruise for bird watchers, you will wind your way through dense rainforest and mangroves, taking in spectacular views of Thornton Peak and watching out for exotic wading birds fossicking for tasty feed amongst the exposed mudflaps. Meanwhile, majestic Brahminy Kites look regally down from their perches high above as you dart through the shallows. Guide and assistance dogs are permitted. Other dogs may be permitted at the discretion of the boat crew member on the day. Issues may occur if some passengers on board express they fear animals. Barking dogs are not permitted due to the discomfort of other travellers and disturbing wildlife.
