Our impressive Interpretive Centre now showcases an expanded range of themed fish and coral aquariums and our amazing 360-degree Digital Dolphinarium, as well as an interpretation of the Koombana Bay environment and its history – geological, indigenous, marine and contemporary.
The Dolphin Discovery Centre is an essential stop for any visitor to the South West region. The aquarium tells the story of the region from freshwater river to offshore reef and features a variety of marine plants and animals. Enjoy day entry to the brand new Interpretive Centre which features a 360-degree Digital Dolphinarium and offers immersive experiences with interactive displays, feeding programs, activity centres and tours that appeal to all ages. The highlight of the visit is no doubt the chance to see wild dolphins in the Beach Interaction Zone, this is more frequent in the warmer months and is not a guarantee as they are wild dolphins. With many dolphins living along the coast, guests are often able to observe dolphins playing, socialising, feeding and mating in their natural environment. Enter the shallow water with your expert guide, take in the gorgeous scenery and soak up this rare opportunity.
NOTE: During the cooler months you do not see the dolphins consistently in the Beach Interaction Zone. Remember they are wild dolphins and come and go as they please. Most common visit times are in the mornings between 8am and 12 noon.
