Sit down with a local Anangu artist and interpreter for a fun-filled introduction to the unique desert art form, dot painting. Learn about the symbols and painting styles used to create stunning works of art illustrating the Creation time stories and design a colourful piece you can take home.

You're invited to deep dive into the unique desert art form of dot painting during this 1.5 hour workshop. Guided by a local Anangu artist and assisting interpreter, you will learn about ancient symbols, painting styles and traditional tools used to create gorgeous works of art depicting the Creation time (Tjukurpa) stories. Inspired by the storytelling, you will join the artists to create your own work of art that illustrates your unique story which you will take home as a memento. The sharing of stories and passing on of traditional methods of painting plays an important role in the sustainability of Aboriginal culture.

This experience is part of the Responsible range as the experience provider is a profit for purpose organisation. Profits go back into alleviating poverty in 22 Aboriginal communities.
