Enjoy a tropical island escape for a day to Fitzroy island in the Great Barrier Reef where you will spend up to 6 hours snorkeling in the pristine waters, basking in the sun or exploring the lush rainforest. Experience touring the island on a glass bottom boat with the turquoise waters below!
Escape to a tropical paradise for a day on Fitzroy Island in the Great Barrier Reef where you will enjoy free time to snorkel and explore the pristine waters and lush rainforest. Begin your journey by meeting at the Cairns Marlin Marina at 8:15am where you will board the Fitzroy Island Dancer catamaran at 8:45am. After a 55 minute ferry ride, you will arrive on the shores of the island where you will spend six hours exploring, snorkelling or basking in the sun on this little slice of heaven. You will have the chance to board our glass bottom boat where you can tour the island with the alluring turquoise waters right below your feet and spot the marine life surrounding the island. As the day comes to an end, you will board the catamaran back to Cairns, feeling a sense of relaxation and peacefulness. This package includes the return ferry rides, the snorkelling equipment hire and the glass bottom boat tour.
Departing daily from Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, a short 1 hour ride in our air-conditioned catamaran will take you to the tropical paradise of Fitzroy Island. Fitzroy Island is favourite trip for Cairns' locals with 99% of its landscape covered in lush tropical rainforest as well as granite outcrops, open woodlands, mangroves and coral beaches.
Please allow a full day for this experience. **BOARDING PASSES REQUIRED** - Check-in 07:30 -08:20am at the Sunlover Cruises counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal. Boarding closes 08:30am / Departure is 8.45am sharp. Reconfirm return boarding time at the Island with the crew on board.

4:00pm Departure – Fitzroy to Cairns

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of rough water conditions, your experience may be rescheduled to a later date. On rare occasions, tidal conditions prohibit our vessel from accessing the island however we will advise of the best course of action in the event of this occurring.
We recommend you bring swimwear, a towel, sun protective gear (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), and anything else you may need for a day on the island.
Adult tickets are valid for those aged 16 years and older. Children tickets are valid for those aged between 4-15 years old. Children 3 years and under are free of charge, we do require them to be added to your booking. Please contact our team prior to travel.
