With pristine beaches, pink granite mountain ranges and wild rugged coastline, Tasmania's east coast is a bucket list destination not to be missed! Departing from Hobart, explore all of the must-see sites of the Freycinet National Park including the world-famous Wineglass Bay Lookout.
This full day adventure begins right at your doorstep when you're picked up from your Hobart accomodation. Hit the road and begin the scenic drive to Rosny Hill Lookout, a vantage point from which you will be treated to sweeping views of the Derwent River, Hobart City and Mount Wellington. Continue on to the historic township of Richmond where will you'll check out the oldest convict constructed bridge still in use in Australia, before travelling through forests and farmland to the rural town of Buckland. Cruise along Great Eastern Drive through the coastal towns of Orford, Triabunna and Swansea until you reach the famed Freycinet Peninsula. Spend over four hours exploring the Freycinet National Park visiting incredible locations including Friendly Beaches, Coles Bay, Sleepy Bay, Honeymoon Bay, Cape Tourville and Wineglass Bay.
The highlight of the day is no doubt the 45 minute walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout. Walk the well-constructed track at your own pace and take your time to appreciate the beautiful surrounds and clean air. If you would like to walk down to Wineglass Bay Beach, this can be arranged with your guide in advance. Bear in mind this is a steeper track requiring a higher level of fitness. Afterwards, you'll enjoy lunch at one of the local beaches or if you prefer seafood, a stop can be made at the Marine Farm. After exploring all of the hotspots and hidden treasures of the park, the day ends with a final stop at Kate’s Berry Farm to sample their fresh produce or famous ice cream.

Comfortable walking shoes and clothing, sunscreen, hat and towel. Wet weather clothing if rain is forecasted.
Personal travel insurance to cover loss or damage to property, illness or injury is strongly recommended. Clients are advised to take all waste products, including food scraps, with them when they leave the Freycinet National Park. Please note that feeding native animals is potentially harmful to them and is strictly prohibited.
