This full-day adventure takes you deep into the south of Tasmania, along Australia's southernmost road and an underexplored part of the world where you will drive through the famous Huon Valley, kayak the picturesque Port Esperance at Dover, and then walk amongst the treetops at Tahune Adventures.
Experience what Southern Tasmania has to offer like never before during this full-day adventure tour. As you leave Hobart, you'll quickly descend into the beautiful Huon Valley embarking on a two-hour drive through the winding roads and past the fruit orchards of the valley. When you arrive at Dover, it won't take you long to realise why Port Esperance Bay is labelled one of the most beautiful natural harbours in Tasmania. Gaze at the serene views over Adamsons Peak as your professional local guide takes you on a morning kayak around the three islands Hope, Faith, and Charity. This two-and-a-half-hour kayak tour requires no previous experience and proceeds at a relaxed pace, so you can focus on appreciating the breathtaking scenery. You'll enjoy morning tea on the islands and take in the view of the Hartz Mountain Range, Dover township, and its surroundings from a new perspective.
Next, you'll explore more of the Huon Valley as you wind through the countryside toward Geeveston. If you're travelling between October and April, you'll stop at the historic Kermandie Hotel where you can enjoy a delicious lunch with spectacular views over its private marina on the Huon River, while in the colder months, you can enjoy lunch at the Tahune Adventures cafe. After lunch, you'll venture into the forest at Tahune, where you'll spend two hours exploring the forest. Walk among the treetops on the Tahune airwalk – a steel canopy that overlooks the forest floor 50 meters below. Breathe deep as you do a forest walk and be brave as you cross the river on a swinging bridge, following the Huon Pine Trail towards one of Australia's oldest living trees.
Finally, you can sit back and relax as you make your way back to Hobart after a fun day out among the natural surrounds of Southern Tasmania. You'll arrive back in Hobart by about 5:30 pm, giving you plenty of time of a brief rest at your hotel before heading out to enjoy a range of cuisines at one of Hobart's many fine restaurants.

In rare and unfortunate circumstances there might be a possibility of cancellation after confirmation should there not be enough passengers on a particular tour. In the event of this occurring, we will give you a full refund or work with you to arrange an alternative tour.
Please bring a water bottle and wear warm comfortable clothing, and bring sunhats or beanies appropriate for the weather (often both!). Please bring a spare set of clothing to change into after your kayak tour. A camera/phone is optional, dry bags can be provided.
