Experience an informative and intimate bird watching tour at Banrock Station Wetlands. This stunning location is home to 191 different bird species, including wetland and woodland birds. Starting at 7am, begin your tour of up to four participants by meeting your guide at Banrock Station and set out in a spacious SUV, perfect for accessing areas of the property not open to general visitors. Run by one of the Riverland’s most knowledgeable authorities on birds of the region, your guide will take you to many parts of the site, with breathtaking photo opportunities along the way. Keep an eye out for some of the incredible birds such as The Chestnut-Crowned Babbler, The Regent Parrot, The Australian Little Bittern and The Musk Duck. Enjoy a complimentary morning tea on your tour before concluding the tour around midday. Participants are more than welcome to stay on for a wine tasting at the Cellar Door or dine for lunch in the restaurant overlooking the wetlands.
In the event of extreme or inclement weather, tours may need to be rescheduled or cancelled. Should another suitable date agreeable to both parties not be available, tours will be refunded in full.
This experience takes place in the Riverland region of South Australia, a 2.5 hour drive from Adelaide.
