Take a real sea kayak adventure trip to Wilson Promontory, Victoria! Be guided for three days to secluded marine areas and pristine islands. Explore some of Australia's best regions by sea kayak now that is an adventure!
This is a unique, once-in-a-life-time adventure. Corner Inlet is a spectacular area of granite rocks plunging into azure, clear water. Stunning pink granite rocks separate the coves. On day one of your kayaking adventure you will meet your group at Port Welshpool and pack your kayaks. We then paddle for 2 to 3 hours across Corner Inlet and Five Ways to Tin Mine Cove. Tin Mine Cove is remote and beautiful. There is a creek with drinking water and great snorkelling off the beach!
You will spend the whole of day two in this special place visiting islands, bushwalking and snorkelling. Bring your snorkelling gear so you can get a good glimpse of the abundant marine life in the area. You might also see dolphins, seals, sea eagles, cormorants and Cape Baron geese on the journey. This is one of the most spectacularly scenic areas in Australia! On day three we'll make the return journey to the mainland, proud of a truly amazing achievement! Please Note: Includes camping gear e.g. tent, sleeping mat, stove, cooking gear (excludes sleeping bag). You will need to bring your own food.
This price is for one person. There will be a minimum of four and a maximum of 12 people in the group. Most kayaks are double however single kayaks can be supplied to experienced paddlers upon request.
This experience may be affected by the weather. Tours can operate in the rain however in the case of extreme or very windy conditions your experience may be rescheduled for a later date.
Bring clothes for two nights away that are suitable for outdoor activity and the weather conditions. Bring bathers, thermal top or 'rashy', water bottle, wet suit boots, old runners or sandals or thongs. Spray jacket, thermal top, PFD and spray deck are supplied.
Medical and Indemnity forms are to be completed. A briefing 2 weeks prior to the tour will be scheduled to discuss trip route plus gear to bring. Participants would normally go in double kayaks. If kayaking experience can be proven then a single kayak can be an option. Participants must bring own food, camping clothes, water containers and sleeping bag.
This experience departs Port Welshpool, VIC approximately three hours south-east of the Melbourne CBD.
