Take a sneak peek at the mystical lives of seahorses at Seahorse World. Led by an expert guide, you will learn more about their mysterious behaviours, gain access to the world's first seahorse farm, see them at all stages of life and hold a gorgeous seahorse in the palm of your hand.
The seahorse has forever been a source of immense attraction, and this unique facility in Beauty Point allows you to immerse yourself in their fascinating world. Your guided tour begins in The Cave, which houses a selection of seahorses and sea dragons. Uncover the secrets behind their mysterious behaviours as you watch them dance around the tanks. You'll then head to The Farm where you will get an exclusive behind the scenes look at the world's first working seahorse farm and see seahorses in all stages of life, from tiny fingernail-sized babies to larger adults. The last section of the tour takes you to The Southern Ocean Aquarium, where an array of weird and wonderful creatures found in Tasmanian waters are showcased. You'll also have the opportunity to get hands-on and touch some of the underwater animals as well as hold a seahorse in the palm of your hand.
No food or drink to be taken into the aquarium.
Maximum of 25 participants. Larger groups can be split into smaller groups departing 15 minutes apart.
Flat, non-slip shoes can only be worn in the aquarium. No high heels or thongs.
