Discover all the splendid nooks and crannies of the Blue Mountains with ease during this self-guided mountain e-bike hire. Savour the fresh air as you wind through a gorgeous natural wonderland of heathlands and open forests to the dramatic Hanging Rock.
For those who love a bit of exhilaration and nature, this mountain e-biking adventure allows you to get active outdoors whilst admiring Mother Nature's magnificent handy work. Meet the crew in the quaint village of Blackheath to be set up with your e-bike and safety equipment as well a map, puncture kit, trail info and bike handling tips. Once kitted out, you will embark on the Burramoko Ridge fire trail for an awe-inspiring pedal through the Blue Mountains. The Burramoko cycle trail will lead you along a ridge to an impressive rocky bluff, with pedalling made easy because of your electric mountain e-bike. Wind through heathlands, open forests and marvel at dramatic views on route to Baltzers lookout, in search of Hanging Rock.
The outlook at Hanging Rock is completely raw, there are no gates or fences along the edge. Feel your heart race faster as you gaze across the enormous gorge brimmed with trees and fringed by golden cliffs. On a clear day, you will be able to spot the Sydney CBD from the top. Take some time to enjoy your snacks, relax and snap some spectacular photos of your surroundings before heading back. As you use a good quality e-bike, this ride is suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders. It will generally take three to four hours to complete.
This products require minimum numbers for the service to run. Once booked, you can follow up with the operator as to your current ride status and/or options.
In the event of rain or inclement weather the experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider the day before. Either way you will receive a call the day before your ride.
Please bring sunglasses with you, and wear enclosed flat shoes like runners. This ride takes you into the Australian bush during the daytime so it is recommended that you apply sunscreen before the ride. Ensure that you wear exercise appropriate clothing.
The experience takes place in the Blue Mountains region, NSW. The trail starts and finishes in Blackheath, just 15 minutes from Katoomba.
