Enjoy the clean country air as you are taken along the local backroads from one tasting experience to another by team of beautiful heavy horses and some of the best tour guides in the Hunter Valley. Over three hours you will visit three venues to sample some award-winning wine and produce.

Revel in the beauty of the Hunter Valley on this unique three-hour horse and carriage wine tour. If you want to fit as much into your visit to the Hunter Valley as you can, this is the perfect tour for you. Including tastings at three different venues, you'll never want it to end! The venues you visit are dependent on availability and may include Pokolbin Estate, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, McGuigan Wines, Sobels Wines, Pokolbin Village Smelly Cheese, the Pokolbin Chocolate shop, the Pokolbin Chocolate Factory and The Carriages Boutique Hotel and Vineyard. You will travel in a horse-led carriage, completely covered and with padded seats, ensuring you stay comfortable and allowing you to completely immerse yourself in the experience of tasting some of the amazing Hunter Valley wines. Plus, at each stop you will learn about the processes involved in making these beautiful wines.
Session Length
- This experience is three hours in duration
- Morning Tour Session Time - 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
- Afternoon Tour Session Time - 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm
- Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure
- Runs seven days per week
Guidelines
- Participants must be 18 years and over to participate in the wine tasting as alcohol is involved; photo ID may be required
- Please advise any dietary requirements at the time of booking
- Any extra charges incurred by you or your group will be charged to your supplied credit card at the end of the day
- Any discount or gift vouchers must be discussed at time of booking and surrendered to your driver on or before the day
Cancellation
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
Numbers on the Day
This is a group ride with a minimum of two and a maximum of 44 participants.
Weather
Our carriages are completely covered and have padded seats, ensuring you stay comfortable during your tour. In the event of wet weather, we even have drop down see-through curtains on all of our carriages meaning no last-minute cancellations.
Dress Code
Please bring a hat and suncream.
