Uncover the extraordinary natural phenomenon that is the Horizontal Falls on the coast of the Kimberley region. Fly by light plane from Broome to Derby before swapping over to a helicopter for a spectacular low-level flight to the Falls. It's an unforgettable and surreal experience not to be missed.
Be whisked away into the splendour of the Kimberley region during this breathtaking scenic flight. Departing from Broome, you will fly in a light plane to the Derby base, where you will be transferred to the helicopter. Your experienced pilot will provide informative commentary as he navigates low-level to the Horizontal Falls, described by David Attenborough as 'one of the greatest wonders of the natural world.' Be stunned by the intricate patterns created by the huge local tides in the mudflats and gaze in awe at the expansive Kimbolton Ranges. Your pilot will orbit slowly through the Falls to allow for the best photos of the wide and narrow gaps connecting the Inland Sea to Talbot Bay, creating the Horizontal Falls. Upon returning to Derby, you will enjoy a fixed-wing flight back to Broome.
