You will meet approximately 90 minutes before sunrise, where you'll be driven from the meeting point to the launch site. The launch site often changes depending on the wind direction on the day. If you are feeling up for it, you can help with the inflation and deflation of the balloon. Once aboard, you'll gently take off and witness the sun rise above the horizon and suburbs come to life below. Indulge in stunning sweeping vistas and learn a thing or two about your surrounds as you float through the sky. Weather plays an important role in balloon flights. The pilot has the ultimate decision on the morning of the flight and cancellations are for your safety or to comply with regulations. Reasons to cancel are normally strong winds, rain or low visibility conditions.
Practical outdoor clothes and appropriate footwear. The fields could be wet and you don't want cold or wet feet! Bring a change of shoes and socks if necessary. Bring a cap or a hat to protect your head from heat of the burners. Don't wear your best clothes, you might get a little dirty on packing the balloon away.
