Take to the skies of Perth with this Electric Flight Trial Experience, where you can feel the magic of flying in a Pipistrel Alpha Electro aircraft. Begin with a comprehensive safety briefing and aircraft pre-flight inspection led by your expert instructor at an electric-activated flight school. Once prepared, take off from Jandakot Airport for a 20-30 minute flight over the picturesque scenery of Perth’s city river area and beaches. During the flight, the instructor will guide you through the basics of handling the aircraft, allowing you to experience the power and precision of electric flight firsthand. This trial flight also counts towards your flight training hours as a member of Recreational Aviation Australia. Upon completion, you'll receive a certificate as a testament to your achievement.
Spectators are welcome and there is a great viewing area at each airport to see the take-off and landing.
Flying a small plane is very weather-dependent. If the weather interferes with your scheduled flight experience, we will seek to re-book you at a suitable time with no cancellation fees.
Sensible footwear is required and pants/shorts are recommended. Also, bring a cap and sunglasses.
As with most adventure-type activities, flying still has its potential hazards. Each flight school operating the flight experience is a member of Recreational Aviation Australia, an organisation that exercises its power to ensure the safety of its members and the general public. It is however, important for both current and potential pilots to be fully aware of the possible risks involved. Whilst Recreational Aviation Australia has in place a range of measures to keep potential hazards to a minimum, persons participating in recreational flight training and associated recreational aviation do so at their own risk.
