Hobart’s iconic waterfront from a different perspective – from your very own kayak! Departing from Sandy Bay, explore Hobart’s coastline, paddling past historic Battery Point, now one of the most prestigious neighbourhoods in Hobart, and gliding under fishing wharfs before entering the bustling Hobart docks. You’ll get up close to sleek yachts, elegant tall ships, working fishing boats, modern cruisers and possibly even a cruise ship.
After working up an appetite, enjoy Hobart’s legendary fish and chips direct from a dockside fish punt from the comfort of your kayak while your guide entertains you with some local stories.
No paddling experience is necessary and this paddle is suitable for younger paddlers who can team up with an adult or one of our guides.
There will be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 16 participants on the day.
Your safety is of utmost importance and you should be able enjoy your sea kayaking experience. In the case of bad weather, the experience provider will contact you the evening before your scheduled tour. If your booking is cancelled you will get the option to reschedule to another day.
A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended.
