Get a sense of the enormity and remoteness of the Australian outback as you make the journey to Kings Canyon. Climb to the rim of Kings Canyon and wonder at panoramic views of the Watarrka National Park, as well as views down into the canyon gorge itself.
Lace up your hiking boots for an incredible journey to Kings Canyon, situated in the heart of the Watarrka National Park. Departing early from Ayers Rock Resort, you will experience firsthand the scale of the Australian outback, with a breakfast stop at Kings Creek Station along the way. Upon arrival, stretch your legs and make the rocky ascent to the rim of Kings Canyon, with plenty of breaks to stop, rest and pinch yourself at the unreal scenery around you. All your hard work will be paid off once you reach the top of the canyon, boasting unsurpassed panoramas of the Watarrka National Park. Follow your guide around the rim of the canyon and look down into the gorge at various look-out points. If time permits, you'll descend into the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden.' For something more relaxing, opt for the two kilometre stroll along the creek bed that leads to magnificent views of the canyon rim.

Enclosed and sturdy walking shoes, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, warm layers in the cooler months and a water bottle. Pack your swimmers for a dip at Kings Canyon Resort pool (if time allows).
