Your journey begins with hotel or port pickup, followed by a scenic drive through sugar cane fields and up the majestic Macalister Range. As you ascend the Kennedy Highway, named after a famed explorer, you'll be surrounded by lush rainforest.
Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a brief orientation of Kuranda before embarking on over 3 hours of free time. Explore the village at your leisure, perusing unique shops, enjoying local cuisine, and discovering hidden gems.
The adventure continues with a breathtaking ride on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. This engineering marvel winds through dense rainforest, crossing 37 bridges and passing through 15 tunnels.
Your tour concludes at Freshwater Station, where transport back to your hotel or port awaits, typically arriving around 4 PM. For those staying in Cairns city centre, you have the option to continue to Cairns Station and walk to your accommodation.
This experience operates Wednesday to Sunday. Pickups commence about 9:30am and hotel drop offs are about 4pm.
