There's no better place to witness a spectacle of humpback whales flourishing in their natural habitat than in Merimbula on the NSW Sapphire Coast. This unforgettable two hour adventure will bring you out to the waters where you'll meet some friendly faces as they make their annual migration.
Merimbula is known as one of the world's best whale watching destinations, with tens of thousands of humpback whales passing by this spectacular region as part of their annual migration journey from the Great Barrier Reef to Antarctica. There is absolute magic in spotting whales thriving in their natural habitat and this tour allows you to see just that. You'll depart from Merimbula Public Jetty aboard a large tourist vessel with a professional crew boasting with over 19 years of experience, knowledge and passion for these majestic creatures.
From August to November, you'll quickly spot them playing right in Merimbula Bay within minutes of departing out to sea. From August and early September, you'll be able to watch fascinating lunge feeding displays and in late September through to mid November, you'll see new baby calves swimming by with their mothers. Some days you'll spot a few passing by and other days you'll watch hundreds, but however little or many - whale sightings are guaranteed and an amazing sight to behold! Come with an open mind and an adventurous spirit, ready for an adventure of a lifetime!
