Calling all adrenaline junkies! Head out to sea and enter shark infested waters for the dive of a lifetime - without a cage. You'll embark on a scenic boat ride out to a secret reef off Mooloolaba and take the ultimate plunge, coming face-to-face with grey nurse sharks.
This experience is not for the faint-hearted! Face your fears with this thrilling cage-less shark dive in the open waters off Mooloolaba. On your journey out to the reef you will learn a little about their preservation efforts and the grey nurse shark species. Before you know it you'll be diving with up to 20 of these majestic creatures and other marine species including fish, corals and turtles. This experience runs with a maximum of 12 divers so as to not disturb the sharks. No prior scuba diving experience is necessary, however extra training (not included) will be required if not a certified diver.
Minimum Certification level for this trip is PADI Open Water Diver or Equivalent. Divers must have recent dive history, with 6 months, or additional training may be required. If additional training is required there will be ADDITIONAL COSTS involved for the dives.
Maximum of 12 people.
Spectators may be permitted on the Dive Trip at a cost of $50 per person. However positions are limited and Spectators will only be permitted if less than 12 divers are booked on to the days Dive Trip.
The weather is something that we cannot control. Should it be determined by the Dive Operator that the weather is not suitable to safely run the Dive Trip they may cancel the trip for the day and reschedule the trip. The decision to cancel the trip due to weather conditions remains at the discretion of the Dive Operator. Things that may determine a cancellation include wind, swell, currents and ocean visibility.
During warmer times of the year, Oct-March, Swimmers, sunscreen, hats and flip flops. During Cooler times of the year it is suggested that a jumper or wind proof jacket and hat/beanie are also worn.
