Immerse yourself in the day to day operations of a commercial sheep station on this half day 4WD tour. Discover the incredible Rawnsley Park Station with your knowledgable guide at your side.
Spend a half-day discovering the iconic Rawnsley Park Station, a working sheep station located in the heart of the Flinders Ranges. Running approximately 2000 sheep on 12,000 ha of land, you’ll get to discover what life is like on a commercial sheep station. Led by a passionate and friendly guide, you’ll learn about the pastoral history of the region and what it takes to work in an arid environment. You’ll also get to visit the original woolshed of Arkapena station where you can get to know some of the sheep and learn how the wool is sorted and prepared for sale. Finish off with a tour of the property while checking on the watering points, equipped with windmills and solar pumps and see the changing landscapes within Rawnsley Park Station. This is truly an immersive experience giving you a taste of life in the Flinders Ranges.
