The Glass House Mountains await your discovery! Rock climbing is a fantastic full day activity, great for everyone from beginners to advanced. Your qualified instructors are experienced in helping you become relaxed and familiar with the equipment, safety requirements and climbing techniques. Soak up the view of the surrounding glasshouse mountains as you tie in under supervision. Your guide will usually move locations throughout the duration of the activity. The best part? the feeling of accomplishment after reaching the top of your climb!

Session Length

  • Please allow a full day for this experience
  • The activity runs from 7:30am to 2.00pm
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time

Restrictions

Not recommended during pregnancy. Please note that track is gravel and is classified by QLD Parks as a class 4 track.

Guidelines

  • You will need to bring lunch and snacks, and 2L-3L of water for the day, ensure these are easy to carry as we will be on the mountain all day
  • Experience takes place in a National Park and there are no facilities ie toilets in the park itself. Last facilities are located in the Town of Glasshouse (approx. 5 mins by car)
  • Bring a backpack (we recommend 20-30L in size) to carry your personal belongings and allocated rock climbing gear
  • Any level of experience from beginners through to experienced can be catered for
  • Participants under the age of 18 must have their waiver completed by a parent or legal guardian
  • Participants 8-16 years old must be accompanied by participating adult
  • All participants under the age of 13 can climb only. They must be accompanied by an adult to assist them with belaying
  • Moderate level of fitness require, there is a walk in to the climbing sites of approx 40 mins

Cancellation

  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Operates with a minimum of 4 people on the day.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider • Activities will normally operate in all but exceptional circumstances. Unless you hear from the provider, assume that your activity is going ahead. • The provider will make every effort to inform you if cancelling your scheduled activity is necessary. Participants that decide not to attend/participate on the basis of weather (against the provider's policy and/or advice) forfeit their full activity cost. • The Provider will not accept any liability for travel, accommodation, inconvenience or other costs incurred or lost through such cancellation

Dress Code

Wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement (mid length shorts, tights or long pants are ideal) enclosed shoes (eg hiking or jogging shoes). Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and a camera. You may also like to bring some insect repellent. Long hair must be tied back.
