Within minutes of departure you will be flying over the pristine sandy beaches of Australia’s South Coast; from Wollongong Harbour in the south to the Seacliff Bridge in the north, and always against the ever present backdrop of the Great Dividing Range.
Taking off from Wollongong Airport and climbing up to a height of about 1000ft, your pilot will afford you with views of Wollongong City Beach, one of the region's most popular beaches for both swimmers and surfers alike. Within minutes, you will be flying over the coastline to the jewel of Wollongong, Wollongong Harbour and the Blue Mile connecting it to North Beach. Be wowed by this tourist mecca below you, buzzing with cafes, restaurants, cyclists and more before flying further north towards the Seacliff Bridge. Here, the mountains of the Illawarra Escarpment converge with the coastline, creating a spectacular visual spectacle from above. Last on the flight circuit is Bald Hill, presiding over Wollongong’s most northern suburb of Stanwell Park, which is the perfect launching spot for the myriad hang gliders and paragliders. Enjoy the return flight back to base, soaking up the beautiful views one last time.
