Join your Driver Guide on a 10½ kms walk around the entire base of Uluru. Before you commence your journey of discovery, enjoy a light breakfast as you begin to absorb the enormity and beauty of your surroundings.
Rise before the sun comes up and be rewarded by the most beautiful outback walk. The tour starts with a light breakfast and transfers to Uluru. Here you'll begin your walk around the base of this iconic red rock. As sunrise approaches you'll witness the gorgeous, fiery colours of the Aussie outback come to life. Red dirt, sunburnt rock and the blues of water and sky will paint your walk and you'll be amazed at the rugged beauty of this special place. Visit many sacred Aboriginal sites, including Kuniya Piti and hear about local Indigenous people's story of the Mala Men. Stop at the Kantju Gorge and watch the majestic waterfall. After a short break it's on to the Lungkata Walk where your guide will tell you the Tjukurpa story of the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard! Get up close to Aboriginal rock paintings and even touch Uluru itself!
You must wear sensible walking shoes.
A good level of fitness is required as the walk is 10.5km. It is a gentle, flat walk but does take a few hours. Bring a water bottle that can hold 3L.
This experience runs with a maximum of 25 people. This isn't a private tour.
In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider.
Comfortable walking shoes. Sunglasses, sunscreen and hat. Warm layers in the cooler months. Fly net in hotter months (optional).
Please note that on this tour price the entry fee of $38.00 for Uluru - Kata Tjuta National park is not included and must be purchased prior to boarding to the coach.
