For those with an appetite for adventure and a love of being out on the water, this white water rafting experience will blow you away. Set against the beautiful surrounds of Barron Gorge, you will raft down grade 3 rapids under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Return transfers included.
Your tour starts with a pick-up at your accommodation from either Cairns City or the Northern Beaches so you don't have to stress about driving! You'll pass through the National Park to arrive at Barron Gorge. Get kitted up and receive a safety briefing and training session with your experienced instructor. Then it's time to get out on the water!
Starting small and working your way up, your small group will take on rapids that range from relatively peaceful to the biggest on the river. With the help of your guide, you'll be a pro in no time! Once you've faced your fears and the adrenalin rush is over, you'll calmly paddle your way to Lake Placid, enjoying the tranquil rainforest surrounds. Here you'll stop for one last group photo and then it's back on the bus to make your way to your accommodation.
Please note that some medical conditions, disabilities of impairments may exclude passengers from rafting including pregnancy. Passengers should disclose any of the above information at time of booking.
Seven participants plus one guide per raft.
This tour is weather dependent. In case of flooding, extreme rainfall or cyclonic conditions the tour may be cancelled or rescheduled.
Wear swimwear under your clothes. You will need footwear, something with a backstrap, which can be hired from the tour provider for $5 per pair.
Leave all valuables and jewellery at your accommodation. Professional photos, drinks and snacks are available for purchase on the day.
