Learn the ins and outs of biodynamic grape growing and wine making and be led through a selection of Gemtree’s regional and fine wines. Afterwards, explore the surrounding wetlands with a leisurely stroll along the 1km Gemtree Eco Trail before enjoying lunch.
Head to Gemtree Wines and discover their spectacular 306 acres of vineyards that are certified organic and biodynamic, overlooking McLaren Vale and the ocean beyond. As a testament to their honest and hard work, Gemtree Wines has won the Best Sustainable Tourism Practices award for two years in a row. Your visit begins with a guided tour of the Biodynamic Hut and vineyard, where you will learn about their environmentally conscious farming system and award-winning varietals. The tour concludes in the Tasting Room with a much-anticipated wine tasting from both the foundation and fine wine collections.
Afterwards, explore the surrounding wetlands with a leisurely stroll along the 1km Gemtree Eco Trail before enjoying lunch of produce sourced from local artisan producers, paired with a lovely bottle of estate-made wine. You will also leave with a bottle of wine to take home as a parting gift.
